     Yours of the 16th was duly received. I like the plan you sugges very much. I will lay the letter & the Com. of petition & circular before the Ex. Com. for their action.

     Enclosed  is the Treasurer's[?] check for One hundred dollars, which please acknowledge.  ___ enclose a receipt for the Treasurer[?].  This you will _____ in ciculating your Argument accorsing to your discussion. Those for Me C's will you wait untol the Perition is circulated or forward them yourself. I rather think you had best forward those you intend for M C to Mr Goodell, 48 Beekman St. (_____ is not as you ____) to be forwarded when the proper time has arrived.

     Mr Marsh wrote me that he _____ price of the book is $45 per ____ in paper & $69 bound.
